Greeks are increasingly concerned about a religious group that is targeting Greek schools, with one man saying they were “sickening”.
But the problem isn’t limited to the country.
In the US, hundreds of protesters gathered at the State Capitol in Washington to protest a bill to ban same-sex marriage.
In India, hundreds gathered to protest the execution of a man who allegedly confessed to being gay, according to CNN.
In Brazil, tens of thousands of people marched in Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach to demand that President Michel Temer step down.
The protesters, who were calling for Temer to step down after Brazil’s Supreme Court legalized same-gender marriage, said he should not be in office because of his ties to the Catholic Church.
“If Temer goes, we will not stand for him to stay,” one protester, Mariana Fernandes, told the BBC.
The government in Brazil has vowed to repeal the bill.
