Apple has been rumored to unveil its new AppleTV 4K box at a special event on September 20, but the device has been shrouded in mystery ever since.
The new Apple product will reportedly launch in September with a price tag of $199, the same price it will cost today.
According to the Verge, Apple is working with an unnamed partner to develop a new AppleOS 4.2 that will replace Apple’s current OS.
The device will be “designed and built to support a new generation of Apple TV.”
The new Apple tvOS will be an operating system that will include an improved version of the iOS and tvOS apps that are present on the current AppleTV hardware.
The company is expected to announce the new tvOS on September 21.
The Apple TV will reportedly debut alongside the new Apple 4K product.
